When It Finally Arrives

What if resistance rising up within you is a natural inclination when what you have been waiting for finally arrives? I genuinely believe the notion that resistance is par for the course and that it is better to fully accept it. With that awareness and acceptance that it is a part of the journey, it is then my responsibility to challenge it with productive habits instead of allowing that resistance to overtake me. You will risk the chance of self-sabotaging or squandering the thing you have been waiting for if you give into the initial resistance that rises up. Simply allow that initial wave of resistance to pass through you. Actively shift into gratitude, acknowledge the blessing that the thing you have been anxiously or patiently waiting for has finally landed in your life.

That initial resistance can look like your mind filled with doubts, questioning if you are ready, feeling challenged with integrating the change it requires, thoughts about giving it up or wishing it away, and so forth. Do not give into the resistance nor give it permission to steal the joy of the new season that is blossoming. It is a time of rejoicing when it (i.e., the opportunity, prayer fulfilled, partner, etc.) finally arrives in your life. Trust in the healing work, preparation, prayers, faith, and willingness to let some things go to make room for it. Trust in the knowing that it arrived at the divinely appointed time for a higher reason. Trust in your ability to steward, cherish, and sustain it with a great amount of grace. When it finally arrives, may you overcome the pesky resistance that will emerge and run victoriously in the direction of joyfully embracing it.
