The Joy of Dreaming (Dream Date)

By natural design (God’s wonderful design), I am a deep visionary and dreamer. The type that can see in my mind’s eye the vivid imagery of a vision or dream, outline steps to accompany faith to bring it to life, and luckily also an executor; which is also a gift that I enjoy sharing with others to plant seeds in them. My imagination is vast and it is one of the many things that pour into my joy. There is joy in dreaming if you allow yourself to do so with an untainted disposition. Meaning that you do not allow external circumstances or what you see in the world to adversely impact your ability to dream with hope and expectation. Sit with this question, when was the last time you reviewed the dreams you have in your heart? Seriously, sit with it to review the dreams that still align with who you are, the dreams that no longer fit, the dreams you unknowingly stop believing in, and examine the new dreams that have been nudging on your heart for years.

I took myself on a dream date recently to do just that and organized my dreams by timeline with accompanied actions to help them come true. I got dressed up to match the vibe of the version of me living my dreams, gathered my dream notebook and sharpies, and took myself to an inspiring cafe to have a solo dream date. Not only was it illuminating, but I found myself with an even deeper belief that all of them will come true beyond what I have imagined. I undoubtedly trust and know it. You are empowered to do the same and to tailor your dream date to match the vibe of the future you that is living your dreams. Make time for the joy of wholeheartedly dreaming again because it will water your heart with hope, excitement, and grant you new experiences to look forward to.
