Disrupt Your Life

You have uninhibited permission to disrupt your life in 2026. Start by reflecting on the truth of your current reality and the decisions that have created that reality. Then use this insight as clarity to identify the components of your life that need to be disrupted in order for you to align your life in a way that feels fulfilling and meaningful to you. Self-inflicted disruption will require a significant amount of faith, courage, and wisdom. Faith to trust the process of enduring the initial disruption of something being turned inside out - until the new aspects of yourself or your life are fully settled. Courage to make the decision to disrupt what is not working in your life or a personal attribute that has to die in order for things to change for the better. Wisdom to know what makes sense to disrupt now or later, consideration for who will be impacted by the disruption, which small or big steps are required of you, and how to navigate the entire process.

Disrupting your life can be a more productive strategy than creating a new year’s resolution because it will require you to uproot the old in order to steadily build something new. That something new could be a career change to your true passion, a relocation to a new country for a better life, shedding self-deprecating habits for positive ones, and anything you deem worthy of being disrupted. The wonderful thing about having free will is that at any time you can decide when you would like to take your life in a new direction or grant yourself a fresh start. That means on a random Tuesday in the middle of January, you can decide that you had enough and something has to change. Once you fully step into the power to disrupt your life, you will actualize the life you have always envisioned for yourself.

Joy Gem: “Trust me, you can't change anything without causing some degree of disruption. It's impossible, that is exactly what change is. Some people are uncomfortable with the disruption that change causes, but the disruption is necessary if anything is going to change.” - Afeni Shakur
