Remain Steadfast
Wisdom is accepting that we are guaranteed to come up against obstacles, setbacks, denials, and the unexpected as we embark on this life journey. Everyday cannot be a smooth sail because we need the contrast to build us up in order to evolve and overcome future obstacles. We will also face disappointments that may sting the heart, but they are not meant to stain it with bitterness. Let’s not forget the cost of enduring loss, betrayal, almost but not quite moments, and waiting for our dreams to come true. All of these have the power to impact our stride, cause grief, and make us feel defeated. What if instead you decide no matter what that you will remain steadfast through it all. Steadfast in faith, to keep striding and striking, to keep being open and willing, and to face the challenges head-on knowing you will overcome them.
You are within your natural human right to grieve, to recalibrate before getting back up, and to process the experience. How about not letting any of it cause you to waver or doubt. Even when you reach your natural limit and capacity, you are not out of options. The next best thing you can do is pour out your heart to God and leave it in His hands. Following that is resting and refueling then getting right back on the horse. The beautiful thing about life is that you are also guaranteed to make it to the other side of whatever is thrown your way. Making the decision to remain steadfast grounds your soul, keeps you in a proactive state rather than reactive, and your faith remains unwavering. Life is meant to touch you because you are human, but internal steadfastness prevents every hurdle from knocking you off your square.
Joy Gem: “If we are steadfast and do not waver in our faith, the Lord will increase our capacity to raise ourselves above the challenges of life.” - Ulisses Soares
