Facing the Intimidating Path

What happens when the path that God is calling you to entails an intimidating process? From start to finish the path is filled with rigorous steps that require discipline, sacrifice, and the ability to hold fast to why the call has been placed on your heart. Steadfast faith and full surrender to the process almost feels like the biggest requirement when God has a higher calling for you. Especially when the parts of the path you can see appear as an insurmountable mountain and the consistent messaging around conquering the mountain is negative. Even though the path is arduous, one thing that you can wholeheartedly trust is that God has equipped you to traverse the path and will be your Divine Sherpa ensuring you will conquer the mountain. With this knowing, you still have to look beyond the intimidation and move toward the calling.

Candidly, I am in the midst of wrestling with this and find myself questioning if I should keep going. This is inauthentic to who I am because I am the kind of woman that does not get intimidated by anything/anyone nor in my spiritual maturity do I question what God is calling me to. I also have a grounded knowing in my heart that part of the reason I was created is to fulfill this call and that He has been preparing me for it for a while now. Two years ago, I gave God my yes and started moving toward the calling because I move when God says go. Yet, I am finding myself two years later questioning if I should continue to move in this direction because the path continues to become increasingly challenging. Admittedly, I did not start to sway until I started taking in different sources of negative information about the journey instead of keeping my mind firmly fixed on God. I am correcting this as we speak because well I know better. Either way I have decided to face the intimidating path and trust God to provide for me throughout. You are encouraged to do the same along with fixing your gaze on God and reminding yourself that faith is the foundation for the journey. Facing the intimidating path will not be easy, but fulfilling God’s calling will be fruitful.
